How to Configure EVA Dividers in a Rolling Makeup Bag: Inside 4221

A divider layout should follow the tools being packed. In the 4221, that means working with ten removable boards and the slot positions inside the main compartment—not assuming that every partition can move to any position.

For a brush-kit supplier, beauty training organization or professional makeup brand, the useful question is whether the intended assortment can be organized, reached and repacked in the same layout. This guide explains the 4221 divider system and a practical way to assess it with your own sample.

Start with the Usable Space and Your Tool Assortment

The usable main compartment measures approximately 38 × 35 × 10 cm. Use these internal measurements when considering the kit, rather than the bag’s external dimensions. Installed dividers take up part of that space, so the dimensions of an individual section depend on the selected arrangement.

Before moving any boards, lay out the products intended for the bag. Compare their length, width and packed height, including caps, handles and any packaging that will remain in place. A broad palette, a group of narrow tools and a tall bottle present different fitting questions even when they belong to the same makeup kit.

Decide which items need their own section and which can share one. Treat this as a layout to check on the sample: the empty-compartment photograph does not establish how many products a particular assortment will hold.

Understand the Ten-Board Divider Set

The standard set contains five short, four medium and one long removable EVA divider. The different lengths provide the components for a main division and smaller subdivisions, subject to where the matching slots are available.

Board Quantity Dimensions
Short 5 11.5 × 9.8 × 1 cm
Medium 4 23.2 × 9.8 × 1 cm
Long 1 39 × 9.8 × 1 cm

The 39 cm long board and the 38 cm usable compartment span are measured in the same direction but use different boundaries. The board measurement includes the projecting ends that enter the fixing slots; the usable compartment measurement excludes the space occupied by the lining. The figures therefore do not conflict.

The 9.8 cm dimension is the divider width measured by Obeautycase. Actual usable storage space depends on how the dividers are installed. Check the chosen contents with the divider arrangement and cover in place.

Reconfigure at the Available Slots

The dividers are held by slots. Removing a board opens up the area it previously divided; repositioning it at another compatible slot location changes the section layout. The adjustment is defined by those physical locations, rather than a continuously movable partition.

  1. Empty the area you want to change. Note the current board positions before removing them so the original arrangement can be restored.
  2. Remove the relevant divider. Disengage its ends from the fixing slots and identify the slot positions available for the revised layout.
  3. Refit at matching positions. Align the board ends with compatible slots, seat the board and check that it remains in place before adding the intended contents.

Do not force a board into a gap simply because the resulting compartment size looks useful. If the desired spacing does not correspond to the slots, revise the grouping or discuss that requirement during sample review.

Check the Tool Combination, Not Just the Empty Layout

Place the intended items into the proposed sections and check three things: whether they fit without pushing the dividers out of position, whether each item can be removed without disturbing its neighbours, and whether the cover and bag close normally.

If several items share a section, assess the combination together. Space around one bottle does not establish that a group of bottles will fit, and room for a palette lying flat does not establish that it will fit upright.

The lid and front compartment can also influence the main-compartment plan. The lid has 12 elastic brush slots in two rows for brushes up to approximately 33 cm in total length, with a transparent PVC protective cover. The independent front compartment includes a fixed mesh pocket measuring approximately 39 × 20 cm. Consider those areas when allocating suitable smaller items, then check their fit on the sample.

This keeps the divider decision connected to the whole kit: use the main compartment for the items that actually need its divided space, rather than trying to solve every storage requirement by adding more subdivisions.

Record the Layout You Approve

For procurement, a photograph of an empty bag is only the starting point. Review the sample with a representative assortment and keep a simple record of the arrangement:

  • Confirm the ten-board set: five short, four medium and one long.
  • Photograph the selected slot positions before loading, then photograph the actual contents in place.
  • Check divider seating, item retrieval and closure with that assortment.
  • Record which items go in the lid and front pocket so the main-compartment plan is reproducible.
  • Identify any requested configuration change separately from the standard sample.

For the wider approval record—including materials, branding and packaging—use the OEM makeup bag sample approval checklist.

Choose a Layout You Can Reproduce

The value of the 4221 divider system is the ability to reorganize the main compartment at its available fixing points. A useful arrangement gives the intended tools enough space, keeps them accessible and can be rebuilt consistently when the kit is repacked.

Review the 4221 rolling makeup bag specifications alongside your product list. When discussing a sample, provide the intended item dimensions and a photograph or sketch of the preferred grouping. That gives both buyer and manufacturer a concrete layout to assess.
