BS-1 standing makeup brush bag holding makeup brushes, with Pack & Set Up article title

How to Pack and Set Up the BS-1 Standing Makeup Brush Bag

A brush bag needs to do more than hold a stated number of brushes. It must fit the intended assortment, close with that assortment inside and make the brushes accessible when the user reaches a work table. BS-1 combines zippered storage with a folding body that becomes an upright holder. The useful buying question is how that arrangement works with your particular brush kit.

01 / CHECK THE ASSORTMENT

Start with the Brush Assortment, Not Just the Brush Count

BS-1 holds approximately 30–40 makeup brushes, depending on brush sizes and handle thicknesses.

A kit with several broad face brushes occupies space differently from one with more slim eye brushes. Handle thickness affects how brushes share the elastic slots, while the space around their heads matters when arranging the load and closing the bag.

Each brush must be no longer than 23 cm overall, measured from the end of the handle to the tip of the bristles.

The photographs show an example load and a closed bag. Treat the pictured brushes as a loading demonstration; agree the actual supplied contents separately with your order.

02 / HOW THE SLOTS WORK

Understanding the Two-Row Elastic Brush-Slot Layout

Inside BS-1, 14 elastic retaining slots are arranged in two rows of seven to organize the brush assortment.

In each row, the two end slots measure 4.5 cm and the five middle slots measure 5 cm: four 4.5 cm slots and ten 5 cm slots in total. These are slot-length measurements, not brush lengths or allowable handle diameters.

To pack and check a proposed brush kit:

  1. Open the bag flat, lift the protective flap and gather the intended assortment, checking each brush against the length limit above.
  2. Place the handles into the two rows of elastic slots and check how the handles and brush heads sit together.
  3. Lower the PVC flap over the brush area and check its coverage with the full assortment in place.
  4. Bring the bag closed and check that the zipper closes normally. If it does not, revise the arrangement or assortment and check again.

Use the complete proposed kit for this check so that the approved arrangement reflects what buyers intend to supply.

03 / UNDER THE PVC FLAP

What the Soft PVC Protective Flap Does

The flexible protective flap is made from soft PVC film. Lowered over the brush area, it helps reduce direct contact between brush heads or with other items during storage. Lifting it exposes the arrangement for access and inspection.

The film also provides limited protection from light splashes or incidental moisture, but it does not form a waterproof seal.

The lifted and lowered views show how the flap works with the loaded brush area.

04 / FOLD INTO POSITION

From Zipped Storage to a Standing Brush Holder

The standing configuration uses the bag’s own folded body and internal snap fastening structure. It is not a separate stand added to the kit.

  1. Unzip the bag and open it flat.
  2. Fold the upper half into its standing position.
  3. Fasten the internal snaps to secure the upright body.

With the body secured upright, the brushes remain accessible on the table. The close-up and side view show the internal fastening and the completed setup.

For buyers supplying working kits, include this conversion in the sample review. Check the setup with the intended assortment, then check access to the brushes your users will need.

05 / REVIEW THE SAMPLE

What Buyers Should Check With Their Own Brush Set

Use the packing check and standing setup above as a single sample review. Confirm that the same proposed assortment works for both storage and tabletop access, and identify any brushes that need a different arrangement.

Record the accepted arrangement with photographs and identify the brush assortment used. This gives the buyer and supplier a shared reference for the kit configuration. For the wider approval process, use the OEM makeup bag sample approval checklist, which also covers specification records, materials, hardware and packaging.

06 / FROM SAMPLE TO ORDER

A Practical Next Step for Brush Kit Buyers

Use the BS-1 product specifications to check the bag dimensions and purchasing information. When discussing a sample, provide your longest total brush length and the assortment you intend to supply.

That makes the next step specific: checking the fit, closure, flap coverage and standing setup of a real brush kit.
