Choosing between the four W01 sizes involves more than selecting a larger bag. The main compartment becomes longer across the range, but its usable height stays at 11 cm. Width, divider count, brush storage and shoulder-strap configuration also change at different points.
For distributors comparing size options and buyers selecting a bag for an existing kit, these differences provide a more useful starting point than the inch designation alone. Measure the items you intend to store, then compare the space and configuration each version provides.
This guide uses owner-measured usable dimensions and owner-confirmed configurations for the W01 makeup bag. The 10-, 12-, 14- and 16-inch names identify the size versions; they should not be read as usable internal lengths.
Compare the Four W01 Sizes
The table separates main-compartment measurements from brush-area measurements and included hardware. All main-compartment dimensions follow length × width × height.
| Configuration | W01 10 inch | W01 12 inch | W01 14 inch | W01 16 inch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main compartment usable dimensions, L × W × H | 23.5 × 21 × 11 cm | 27.5 × 21 × 11 cm | 34.5 × 24 × 11 cm | 38.5 × 27 × 11 cm |
| Removable dividers | 6 | 6 | 10 | 10 |
| Divider arrangement | User-configurable | User-configurable | User-configurable | User-configurable |
| Measured brush-area span* | 20 cm | 21 cm | 23 cm | 27 cm |
| Elastic brush slots | 4 | 5 | 6 | 10 |
| Side D-rings | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Adjustable shoulder strap included | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Rear luggage strap | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
These are owner-measured usable main-compartment dimensions, not external bag dimensions. Dividers can be removed and rearranged in every size; there is no fixed default divider layout.
Measured brush-area span runs from the elastic brush-slot position to the corresponding internal upper-cover boundary. The same starting and ending points were used across all four sizes. This is not a guaranteed maximum brush length.
What Actually Changes from One Size to the Next?
The four versions are not proportional enlargements. Each step changes a different combination of storage dimensions and configuration details.

From 10 to 12 inch: more length and shoulder-strap hardware
Usable main-compartment length increases from 23.5 to 27.5 cm, while width remains 21 cm and height remains 11 cm. Both versions include six removable dividers.
Brush slots increase from four to five, and the measured brush-area span increases from 20 to 21 cm. The 12-inch version also introduces side D-rings and an included adjustable shoulder strap. The 10-inch version has neither side D-rings nor an included adjustable shoulder strap. The 12-, 14- and 16-inch versions also have a rear luggage strap that slips over a suitcase’s telescopic handle. The 10-inch version does not have this strap.

This step is worth examining when additional main-compartment length or shoulder-strap configuration matters. It does not provide additional usable width or height.
From 12 to 14 inch: more length, width and divider pieces
Usable length increases from 27.5 to 34.5 cm, and width increases from 21 to 24 cm. Height stays at 11 cm.
The divider count increases from six to ten. Brush slots increase from five to six, while the measured brush-area span increases from 21 to 23 cm. Both versions have side D-rings and include an adjustable shoulder strap.
This is the point in the range where both horizontal main-compartment dimensions increase and additional divider pieces are supplied. Buyers comparing these versions should check both their proposed layout and how many dividers that arrangement needs.
From 14 to 16 inch: more horizontal space and brush slots
Usable length increases from 34.5 to 38.5 cm, and width increases from 24 to 27 cm. Height remains 11 cm, and the divider count stays at ten.
Brush slots increase from six to ten, and the measured brush-area span increases from 23 to 27 cm. Side D-rings and an adjustable shoulder strap are included with both versions.
The decision here concerns additional horizontal space and the different brush-storage configuration, rather than additional divider pieces. Shoulder-strap inclusion describes the supplied configuration; it does not establish carrying comfort or a load rating.
Divider Count Changes, but the Layout Is Yours to Arrange
All four versions allow the dividers to be removed and rearranged. A photograph showing one arrangement is therefore an example, not a prescribed layout.

Divider count does not establish a fixed number of compartments. Start with the items that need separate sections and those that can share a section, then use a sample to check the arrangement. Compare the resulting openings with the items themselves rather than relying only on the main-compartment dimensions.
The 10- and 12-inch versions illustrate one distinction: both supply six dividers, but the 12-inch version has a longer main compartment. The 14- and 16-inch versions likewise share a divider count while providing different usable dimensions. Choosing between either pair requires considering the space as well as the supplied pieces.
Compare Brush Slots and the Measured Brush-Area Span
Brush-slot count and measured brush-area span describe different aspects of the upper-cover storage. One records the number of elastic slots; the other records the distance defined beneath the comparison table.

Review both against your intended brushes. Overall brush length, handle thickness and head shape are relevant to a sample check. Slot count alone does not guarantee that the same number of your brushes will fit.
Place representative brushes in the slots and check their position relative to the upper-cover boundary. Confirm that the bag closes without forcing the brushes into an unsuitable position. This turns the measurements into a practical comparison without treating them as an automatic fit guarantee.
Choose Using Your Actual Item Dimensions
Identify which requirement is driving the size decision:
- If usable height is the limitation: all four versions remain at 11 cm. Moving up the W01 range does not add usable main-compartment height.
- If additional length alone is needed: the 10-to-12-inch step adds length while retaining the same width and height.
- If both length and width are needed: the 14- and 16-inch versions increase both dimensions compared with the preceding size.
- If more divider pieces are needed: the change occurs between 12 and 14 inch, from six to ten. The 16-inch version retains ten.
- If side D-rings and an included shoulder strap are required: compare the 12-, 14- and 16-inch versions.
- If attachment to a suitcase handle is required: compare the 12-, 14- and 16-inch versions, which have a rear luggage strap. The 10-inch version does not include this feature.
- If brush storage drives the choice: compare slot count and measured span together, then check your actual brushes.
Before requesting a sample, record each item’s dimensions in its intended storage orientation, the sections you want to create and your brush-storage requirements. Use representative contents to check the divider arrangement, brush placement and closure together.
For repeat purchases, record the W01 size and agreed configuration alongside the approved layout. For a range containing several sizes, keep the measurements and accessory details attached to each version rather than using one shared specification.
