Black W02 makeup cases in 14, 16 and 18 inch sizes shown side by side

W02 Makeup Case Size Guide: 14, 16 & 18 Inch Upper and Lower Storage Compared

Choosing a W02 makeup case means comparing two storage levels separately. The 14-, 16- and 18-inch versions each have a lower main compartment and an independent upper storage compartment, with one shared structural panel between them.

Moving up a size increases the measured length and width of both compartments. However, the lower compartment remains 11 cm high across all three sizes, while the upper compartment measures 3, 4 or 5.5 cm high. The 18-inch version also has a different upper-lid organization system.

This guide compares measured usable internal dimensions and configuration details to help you choose a size based on your actual items.

How the Two Storage Levels Are Connected

Think of W02 as two storage boxes stacked vertically, sharing one structural panel. That panel forms the lid or ceiling of the lower main compartment and the floor of the independent upper storage compartment.

The side facing the lower compartment contains 12 brush slots arranged in two rows. These slots are organization on the shared panel, rather than a third independent storage compartment.

The upper compartment has its own access zipper and its own top lid with internal organization. Opening that zipper gives access to an already-existing compartment; it does not enlarge another compartment or create additional capacity.

This distinction matters when comparing dimensions. The upper and lower heights describe separate spaces and should not be added together as one continuous clearance for an item.

W02 Size and Configuration Comparison

The table below shows usable internal dimensions measured directly from the physical W02 cases, listed as L × W × H in centimetres. Product photographs illustrate the structure; they do not independently verify the measurements.

Lower main compartment 35 × 23 × 11 cm 38 × 27 × 11 cm 42 × 30 × 11 cm
Independent upper storage compartment 35 × 23 × 3 cm 38 × 27 × 4 cm 42 × 30 × 5.5 cm

Rear luggage strap Yes Yes Yes

All three versions include the same number of removable dividers and lower brush slots. A larger W02 therefore changes the available dimensions without increasing those component counts.

The shared transport configuration also remains consistent: each version has side D-rings, an included adjustable shoulder strap and a rear luggage strap for securing the case to a luggage or trolley handle. These features do not distinguish one size from another.

What Changes from 14 to 16 Inch?

The lower main compartment changes from 35 × 23 × 11 cm in the 14-inch version to 38 × 27 × 11 cm in the 16-inch version. That provides 3 cm more measured length and 4 cm more measured width, with no change in height.

The independent upper compartment changes from 35 × 23 × 3 cm to 38 × 27 × 4 cm. Its length and width increase alongside the lower compartment, and its measured height increases by 1 cm.

The organization remains the same in the features compared here. Both sizes have 10 removable dividers, 12 lower brush slots in two rows, one upper zippered mesh pocket and two hook-and-loop retention straps on the upper-compartment top lid.

The decision between these two sizes is therefore mainly about dimensions. Compare whether your intended arrangement needs more horizontal space in either compartment or the additional measured upper-compartment height. Moving to 16 inch does not provide a taller lower compartment or additional divider pieces.

What Changes from 16 to 18 Inch?

The lower main compartment increases from 38 × 27 × 11 cm to 42 × 30 × 11 cm. This adds 4 cm in measured length and 3 cm in measured width, while the height remains 11 cm.

The upper compartment increases from 38 × 27 × 4 cm to 42 × 30 × 5.5 cm. In addition to the greater length and width, it has 1.5 cm more measured height.

This step also changes the upper-compartment top-lid organization. The 16-inch version has two hook-and-loop retention straps. The 18-inch version instead has three fixed elastic storage pockets. These pockets are not brush slots, removable pouches or mesh pockets. The separate zippered mesh pocket remains present.

The 18-inch version is therefore not simply a proportionally enlarged 16-inch version. Buyers should compare both the compartment dimensions and the different upper-lid arrangement. Neither arrangement is inherently better, and the confirmed facts do not assign either one to a particular product type.

The lower organization remains unchanged in count: 10 removable dividers and 12 brush slots in two rows.

Choose by Compartment, Not Just the Size Label

Start by separating the items you intend to place in the lower main compartment from those intended for the independent upper compartment. Measure each item’s length, width and height in its intended packed orientation, including any container or packaging you plan to retain.

Then use the comparison in four steps:

  • Check lower-compartment height first. All three versions measure 11 cm high. If this is the limiting dimension, moving to a larger W02 does not increase it.
  • Compare horizontal space separately. Lower-compartment length and width increase from 35 × 23 to 38 × 27 to 42 × 30 cm. The upper compartments follow the same length-and-width progression.
  • Check upper-compartment height independently. The measured heights are 3, 4 and 5.5 cm. An item intended for this space must be assessed against the upper compartment rather than the lower one.
  • Compare the upper-lid arrangement. The 14- and 16-inch versions use two retention straps; the 18-inch version uses three fixed elastic storage pockets. Consider that structural difference alongside the measurements.

The lower measurements describe the main compartment, not the dimensions of every section formed by installed dividers. Likewise, the upper-compartment measurements do not establish the internal dimensions of its mesh pocket or elastic storage pockets.

These measurements provide a basis for comparison, rather than a guarantee that a complete kit will fit. For a close fit, verify the actual item arrangement and closure on a sample instead of relying only on the inch label or a photograph.

Confirm Your W02 Size and Configuration

Use the compartment comparison to shortlist a size, then review the W02 makeup case ↗ product page.
If you need further clarification, contact Obeautycase ↗ with the W02 size you are considering, your item dimensions and the compartment where you intend to place them. For the 18-inch version, also identify whether the different upper-lid organization is relevant to your selection.
